THE HOUND THAT RUNS WITH THE WIND

(Morocco / Algeria / Tunisia / Libya)

THE EXCEPTIONAL FLEXIBILITY OF THE PASTERN

The Lean body , flatter muscle, shallower in depth and not too wide chest, produces one of natures ultimates's in design which ensures that coursing relentlessly in extreme heat can be reasonably maintained without the rapid rise in body temperature that heavier dogs, such as the English Greyhound would experience, (which in turn could cause muscles to malfunction,.the most important of these muscles being the heart ]. The unbelievable flexibility of (seemingly ' Over angulated ' ) Sloughi limbs is remarkable. This flexibility is obviously a HUGE assistance when feet/pasterns and long legs sink into sand and manoeuvre across uneven surfaces (twisting and turning at incredibly fast speed)] as all the limbs can 'Give / Bend' , as opposed to snapping the bone, (which would almost certainly be the case in deeper chested, heavily muscled, wider bodied, larger boned Hounds).

And YES ,,,,,THEY CAN AND DO SIT QUITE COMFORTABLY LIKE THIS !!!!
